Almost 600 competitors will take to the water at Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow for the 2014 British Gas Swimming Championships and Sky Sports will show the final three days live.
This is the first time the competition has been staged outside of England and includes both able-bodied and para-swimming races in a variety of classifications.
Britain’s best swimmers will all be in action in the same pool, including Olympic silver medalist Michael Jamieson, 2013 world championship bronze medalist Fran Halsall and Paralympic legend Ellie Simmonds, all with the ultimate aim of securing their place at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, also in Glasgow.
The newly-refurbished Tollcross International Swimming Centre, which will be host to the swimming competition during the Commonwealth Games, will be hosting six days of top class swimming as the city gears up for this summer’s showpiece event.
The epitome of high performance swimming, the British Championships creates a platform for outstanding results including personal bests, new national records, as well as selection for the Commonwealth Games.
Nearly 600 competitors will be travelling from all corners of the UK to swim to win this prestigious event, which has witnessed some historic moments in recent years, the most notable of which came in 2012.
Four-time Paralympic gold medalist Ellie Simmonds set a world record in the 200m Individual Medley during the meeting at the London Aquatic Centre.
The Brit completed the course in just over three minutes to become the first swimmer to break a world record at the venue and would go on to claim her third and fourth Paralympic gold medals just six months later.
Races in both able-bodied and para-swimming will take place over six days with heats sessions taking place in the morning and finals in the evening.
Swimming fans will be able to keep up with all the action in Glasgow with Sky Sports and online via the British Swimming website.
Sky Sports will be screening live coverage of the British Swimming Championships for the first time in 2014, with the final three evening sessions on April 13-15 live on Sky Sports 2.
Live TV coverage will include some of the key showdowns of the competition as athletes battle to break records and qualify to represent their home nations at Glasgow 2014.
Fans will be able to follow the rest of the action via the British Swimming website live page, where all the heats and early finals will be streamed live online.
On radio, BBC 5 Live Sports Extra will also be covering the event, broadcasting all final sessions from day two onwards.
